The Little Red Party Dress
Dress: Kate Spade | Headband: Alannah Hill | Necklace: Swarovski | Clutch: Mimco | Shoes: Kate Spade | Nails: I Scream Nails 'Grape Soda'
We always look for that perfect little black dress, but why not the perfect little red dress?! I have more colourful dresses than black, actually, I have hardly any black items in my wardrobe; colour isn't as restricting as you think! It's quite versatile to restyle with different accessories, creating different looks each time and the red dresses I have always get reworn. Red actually suits more people than you would realise! I don't think I've ever seen red on someone that it hasn't suited.... well maybe not the slutty kind of red dress at a classy event, but you can't have everything right?! Smirk.
If you are stuck for ideas on how to accessorise a red dress, here are safe and easy tips on what I usually stick to for a classic red. You can always do more depending on the style of the outfit and event you are attending; whether you want to look more nautical, classic and sophisticated or boho:
Silver or gold jewellery
Rose gold jewellery works depending on your skin tone and the shade of red you're wearing
Neutrals, navy or black for shoes, bag, jackets; and other accessories
If you want to colour block, pink looks great
I always love a Kate Spade dress for occasion wear, well pretty much any excuse for a Kate Spade anything really :) This dress had me at the bows but is now sold out; I linked some other cute red dresses to wear at your next event.
