I will always choose colour over neutrals or monochrome, brights are my staples and even better that I live in a place where its appropriate all year round :) Winning! While we were in Vegas on our recent USA road trip, I had my one shopping day and headed over to the outlets. I picked up a bunch of shirts in Ralph Lauren and loving that they are both work appropriate and weekend casual at the same time. I also got a great deal on this Kate Spade bag, which is now my Mary Poppins bag, as it doesn’t feel big but you can fit the kitchen sink! Lol! Over Christmas I finally had a chance to christen them and styled them with a bright Jaspal skirt I got the year before on a trip to Thailand (I love Jaspal and whenever I’m in Thailand I head straight to Jaspal for a big shop –price wise they are similar to Australian prices, but I love the quality and style that I don’t easily find back home). I got these Coach leather sandals at the Vegas outlets too – for an absolute steal!
Now I know there are a lot of you that stick to the basics, but don’t be afraid to wear colour and mix and match, if you’re feeling slightly adventurous but still a bit hesitant, try them in classic styles so you will get lots of wear out of them and won’t date; especially if you think you will only pull them out every once in a while. You can even start off with pops of colour against your basics with accessories.
