H&M Birthday Dress
For my birthday requests, I usually end up with single item gifts, you know, expensive taste an all...might be an issue lol. This year my family put in money instead of gifts and since I've been on a no shopping budget lately, I was beyond excited! like an addicted Matt would say...ready to shop!!
One of my local shopping centres had been doing major renovations and with the second stage finally opening recently, along came an H&M store!! For a long time you couldn't even get it in my state, then when you could it was an hours drive away. Matt's like let's turn your single items into a new wardrobe, I'm sure we can find quality items too. He patiently spent about an hour in there with me with the swarms of people in every corner #bestboyfriendawardgoesto :). I had been on a hunt for a leather jacket for Winter, as I always end up with Summer items all year round. I didn't mind whether it was leather or leather look, just something that would suit my girly style and something comfortable. I found this leather look one that is edgy but I can still work with other pieces in my wardrobe, and my brother-in-law even thought it was the best leather jacket he'd seen SCORE! It was also under $100AUS #winning.
I had also been looking for a long sleeved dress for those wintery days (yes this humid place does actually get cold). I love the green shade of this and Matt pointed it out for me all by himself. I went a size down according to the label to get the look I wanted and initially wasn't sure about the hippy print, but I'm always drawn to different and statement pieces and this looked perfect to wear to my birthday dinner. I styled it with a girly leather bow belt and added some luxury items to complete my perfect look of mixing high street and high end fashion.
