Wedding bells at Curzon Hall
Over the weekend, Matt and I attended a beautiful wedding at Curzon Hall in Sydney. Matt was a groomsman so there were plenty of events leading up to it, a fun engagement party at Cruise Bar located in the Rocks in Sydney with sunset views of the harbour; the first bucks party in England and Amsterdam; the second on a boat in Sydney; a family BBQ on the Friday before the wedding; and dinner and drinks the night before.
The weekend heated up in true Australian style and as every bride wishes for, there was no sign of rain. The bride’s family is Macedonian, so plenty of wedding traditions were played out and lots of money passed around!! If you have ever been to a big Macedonian wedding, you will also know there is about 12 hours of dancing in a circle lol. I used this occasion as the perfect opportunity to wear the dress I wore for my sister’s wedding but changed up the shoes -I’m all about making the most out of my clothing, it’s about cost per wear people haha.
The bride wore a custom Pallas Couture dress with embellished Badgley Mischka heels and the bridesmaids wore long strapless navy gowns with nude heels. The cocktail hour and entrée was served in the cellars which was the perfect idea to escape the heat and devour a lavish spread; while the reception had gorgeous arrangements of flowers in epic proportions.
The couple work in the same industry and years later remet randomly seated together on a plane en route to the same work event, so the theme was ‘love is in the air’ with cute and sentimental bonbonniere of luggage tags or passport holders. With overflowing drinks the night was filled with endless dancing and draw dropping speeches!!
