Most of the time in Summer I feel like a puffer fish! So one quick outfit to still look presentable, even though I feel like a melted peasant on the inside, is a bright skirt and graphic tee. I've included another way I styled this bright skirt recently, and I have also worn it in this post. It's quick and simple but paired with on-trend sunglasses and a hat works a treat. I wanted these sunglasses in the Dior version for so long but was a tad hesitant in spending that much if I wasn't sure I could wear them all the time. When I saw one of my favourite Australian accessory labels had a quality and more affordable version, and on sale, I added them to my shopping cart in a blink of an eye. Not only have I been wearing them nonstop, I feel like one the main things to instantly update your wardrobe without breaking the bank is a cool pair of sunnies.
The other thing that is vital to wear in Australia, is a hat. I’m constantly wearing one, which is awesome to cover trainwreck hair but also to protect your skin in the harsh Australian climate. I hear so often people saying they don’t suit hats, which is so not true! It's really just the type of hat, and there are so many options these days! Plus, it's far cheaper than getting sun damaged skin. Do you really want to look like Magda in Something About Mary?! The first recommendation to anyone coming to Australia is invest in some nice hats!! Whenever I go to touristy places I can always tell who is an Aussie just by how they have proper sun protection on. My favourite to wear the past year is the boater style, which gives you instant French riviera vibes!
