While some may prefer sequins on special occasions, I say no rules apply and sequins anywhere, any time, all day long! This brings me to my take on sequins during the day :)
After months and months, Robert and Laura finally bought their first home! We went to see it a few weekends ago to have a family games night and relaxed while the boys made gourmet burgers for lunch. It’s crazy retro, built pre-war but has so much potential when they figure out how they will renovate it, and watching Fixer Upper, Masters of Flip and Flip or Flop certainly gives you plenty of ideas! It also helps that one is an interior designer and the other a structural engineer. The minty exterior made for a great backdrop in my photos and it was one stinking hot day!! Cankles much..sighs… Lets also just say playing Balderdash and Cards Against Humanity is family entertainment lol.
I teamed a chambray shirt with my Aztec sequin skirt and added some low cut converse to mix it up. My navy bag (a Christmas gift to myself ;p) tied it all in together. The key to making sequins during the day work is the top and shoes, you want it complementary and blend while casual, but not so random that it looks awkward and your trying too hard. So stay away from busy prints and stick to something plain and classic. As for evening, well sky's the limit :)
I linked up other options including some light fun affordable dresses to give you more inspiration too. I always buy when I see something that I would definitely get wear out of, even if I'm not going to wear it straight away, as you don’t always find what you want so easily at the time.
