Beauty Loop January and April
It's beauty reviewing time!! I didn't get around to completely testing out all of the January Beauty Loop products, so I'm combining it with the April box (Level 3 for both boxes).
NARS Blush in 'Orgasm': The very first Nars product I ever bought was the 'Laguna Orgasm duo' which consists of Laguna bronzer and Orgasm blush; and it years later it's still apart of my beauty supplies. The blush is a peachy pink with some shimmer and the most loved part about it is, it gives a natural healthy glow that works for more complexions than most blushes; which has led to becoming the ultimate blush icon.
Noskam rating: This will always be a blush staple in my beauty supplies and I highly recommend it! You can also get 'Super Orgasm' (another version) which is the same peachy pink but with gold glitter.
BY TERRY Cellularose (Roses Native Cells) LiftEssence: The sample consisted of the global serum, daily cream and eye contour. You apply the serum before the day cream and then follow with the eye cream. The products contain the anti-ageing benefits of Ruby Rose native cells and after a using the entire sample I definitely felt more hydrated and had softer skin. BY TERRY products always smell amazing and I'm a genuine fan, but, the products are in the higher price point of beauty where it's not accessible for everyone.
Noskam rating: BY TERRY sits as one of my favourite luxury beauty brands and if you can afford it, I would spend the money. At the moment my beauty budget doesn't allow for $200+AUD daily face moisturisers, so I am happily enjoying all the samples I can try :)
REN Satin Perfection BB Cream: This BB cream is silicone-free and provides a non-oily and satin finish. It fits most skin types with it's self adjusting properties; and they can be used alone or as a primer. On my skin it didn't go oily and did give a satin finish like it said it wouldn't and it didn't feel yucky on my skin either.
Noskam rating: BB creams aren't generally something I would choose to use for myself, but I felt like it did what it said as far as what I should expect from this product and a BB cream in general. I personally wouldn't buy it again as I need something with more coverage and already have my favourite primers to use. If you love BB creams, then this would be a good option to try out!
CHANTECAILLE Brilliant Gloss in 'Love': This pink gloss comes out a bit lighter than it looks in photos and perfect for a natural look. The formula is very hydrating and has a long lasting formula with incredible shine, so it makes your lips look extra plump.
Noskam rating: I love this gloss, especially how shiny it is. It's not sticky which is even better too! If gloss is your thing, I recommend you give it a try. I think the shade of pink fits perfectly with the high shine so it doesn't make you look tacky.
URBAN DECAY All Nighter Setting Spray: This is a long lasting makeup setting spray that keeps makeup looking fresh for up to 16 hours. I love that with it's long wearing formula it also has a temperature controlling science to it. I was never a fan of makeup setting sprays with my skin type. I had tried the MAC 'Prep + Prime Fix +' version before and my makeup went shiny and didn't last long at all; so I didn't have high hopes for this product either. After I sprayed it all over (don't hold it too close to your face) I was pleasantly surprised, it settled and didn't essentially ruin my makeup and make it shiny, and I noticed it helped the eyeshadow look nicer.
Noskam rating: If I were to use a makeup setting spray I would continue to use this product and consider buying again. I found it also helped when using cream eyeshadows, making them crease less and last longer.
MALIN + GOETZ Clarifying Clay Mask: Great for oily, acne prone and/or sensitive skin. It's a deep exfoliating mask that is non-irritating. I tried it a few times, a bit sceptical as I've had bad experiences with masks, even if I love other products in a brand's range. I was in luck, with the times I used it, I had no reaction at all and felt fresh faced the way a mask should leave you feeling. I was worried about the breakouts I might get from using it though, but I didn't have any! yay!
Noskam rating: I'm a big fan of MALIN + GOETZ products so even with my concerns, I was still hopeful and willing to try. I would like to use it the entire tube up before I'd consider purchasing again as I already love the EVE LOM mask and not quite convinced yet I need to change.
JOSIE MARAN COSMETICS Argan Enlightenment Illuminiser: This illuminiser is a concentrated liquid that brings a radiant healthy glow and dimension to the complexion. It looks like it would just sit on the skin with how pigmented it looks in the bottle (a tad to shimmery) but don't be concerned, it effortlessly blends and looks very classy.
Noskam rating: I have various contouring products but I'm not obsessed with them and as I have fair skin, I usually only use them sparingly. I really liked this product for my fair skin and think it would look awesome even on dark complexions. I keep reaching for this, whenever I want some highlighter/strobing and will be repurchasing as well.
REN Bio Retinoid Anti Ageing Cream: This anti ageing cream delivers Retinol results without irritation. There is a lot this product claims to do, like reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, boosts collagen and replenishes and plumps the skin with Hyaluronic Acid. It is also free from Parabens, Pthalates and Sulfates. I think with products like these, you have to use them for a really long time to see results and I was already using other products with active ingredients. So honestly, I couldn't really tell too much, only it didn't make my skin react and it seemed ok.
Noskam rating: With all the anti ageing products out there, this isn't something I would gravitate towards. Though, I would try it out a bit longer to see whether it rates better than others.
