I was so excited that Matt got me this outfit for Christmas! I love different things and this worn as a set or separately is going to add an extra mileage to my wardrobe!! Then finally, after holding a secret for months, my brother got down on one knee in the Japanese ski fields and proposed to Laura (while coincidently my sister Donnah was watching in the chair lift above lol), over Christmas. Recently I wore the outfit when Laura’s sisters threw a family dinner so we could all finally catch up and celebrate the exciting news -it had been awhile with all our busy schedules. It wasn’t planned as a surprise but kind of ended up that way for Robert and Laura. We went to Il Centro in Brisbane where there are pretty views of the Story Bridge lit up at night by the pier –I will post a review on the restaurant later.
I styled my outfit with bright lips, neutral heels and rose gold accessories for the dinner and I styled another option so you can see how I would wear it during the day with my gold gladiator sandals.
Often you think these kinds of outfits would be restricting, but twin sets give so many more options than you would normally think; from a casual crisp white tee to a denim shirt or a white high-waisted skirt or anything with the same colour that’s in the Aztec print. The girls all thought I was wearing a dress from certain angles and I like the difference of a slight gap but not so much that you end up needing to suck in your tummy all night…
It’s still Summer here but on the other side its heading into warmer weather, so I would definitely recommend a fun twin set for those warmer days.
